Happy Tails - AWSOM Animals Find Their Forever Homes!

"To all the wonderful people at AWSOM. First a big THANK YOU
for allowing us to become owned by Diamond. She is a joy, even though we have
only been together a short time, we are inseparable. She hasn’t left my side
and I love it. I truly believe she was sent to us from heaven by our Bichon we
lost in Sept. She is so much like her, she even sleeps on the back of the couch
just like she did. After 8 mths of grieving the loss of our beloved Fantasia,
the hole in my heart is filled thanks to AWSOM, and a shining little dog named
Diamond.

Lucky came to AWSOM as a stray from Saw Creek. She was adopted to a wonderful family in May 2010. Here is what Lucky's new family says:
"Here is Lucky in her new backyard. She is a wonderful dog who is bringing so much joy to our lives. We can't thank Awsom enough for all they do."
| February 11, 2010 Taken from The Pocono Record Letter To The Editor: AWSOM pet shelter is doing a great job for animalsOur family just adopted Rocky, a four month old boxer. We found him at AWSOM pet shelter. We have been visiting there since November and was approved for adoption, I personally wanted a small dog and they offered to call when one came in but we visited often anyway. My husband saw Rocky and fell in love. The staff at the shelter are as awesome as the shelter's name. There are so many animals there that need a home. If you are unable to adopt a pet, you can help out by walking a dog, petting a cat or donating some supplies. We are very happy with our dog and would like to thank the staff of AWSOM Pet Shelter for all their help. My Mom, Elizabeth R., died on Christmas and this poor cat deperately needed a home. I live in Alabama and couldn't get home to PA because of financial issues. My sister was there in PA, but she lives in CA and couldn't take the cat home with her. We are both grateful to AWSOM Animals for taking care of "Baby" my mom's cat. The poor thing has been traumatized since my mom's death and needs a loving person or persons to care for her. The poor cat only knew my mom and was very shy around other people. I hope someone will spend some time trying to socialize her a bit. My mom swore she was the best cat. The cat was my mom's only comfort when she was sick, which seemed like forever. I wanted to thank AWSOM Animals again for being so wonderful for taking in my mom's cat. I promised my mom that I wouldn't let anything bad happen to her "Baby." I have become a big fan of AWSOM Animals and I'll try to do what I can to help your shelter. God Bless you all for not killing the animals who can't help their situations in life. I hope my mom's cat doesn't cause you any problems. I've personally never met the cat. I haven't been to PA since 1991, way before that cat was even born. But when I'd call my mom, the cat was right there next to my mom wanting attention and meowing. I could hear her over the phone! I hope my mom is at peace now that my sister Kim has brought you the cat. I was so worried about the poor cat's mental state too, having the only close person die and to be left alone in the world... I know that feeling well! My mom's death is still new and I haven't dealt with it yet, please forgive me for going on and on... Thank you again. Karla T. Hoover Alabama |
